Happy St. Patty's Day!

It's been a week since I posted last.. oh no! I was on spring break from classes this past week so you'd think I'd be able to catch up on blogging...but, nope! No classes means more work and even less free time. I have a few manicures I need to post and I usually do them in order but I'm mixing things up and posting my current manicure first to stick with the holiday!

It's sorta funny, green is my most favorite color but I hate green nail polish. I ended up using one of my only greens, Sinful Colors San Francisco. The only reason I still have this in my collection and haven't purged it is because I love love love San Francisco and have a dear aunt who lives close by. :-) I added Deborah Lippmann Happy Birthday on top of the green because my best friend's birthday is tomorrow- killing two birds with one stone!

Guest Week Day Seven: Lizzy's Pretty Flowers

Here is Lizzy from The Do It Yourself Lady. Her nail designs are great, and this one is no different!

Hello Embellished Nails Lovers! Hope y'all are doing fine on this lovely day.

When I saw Emily's blog post about wanting Guest writers on her blog, I decided to challenge myself and send her a message to let her know I'm interested in doing a blog post.

This is my first time ever doing a guest post, so I thought long and hard about what to do. I was inspired by this season of love.. Valentine's day.

A while back, while going through Youtube videos like I often do, I came across this Tutorial, and I wanted to do something similar ever since.
I hope you like what I've come up with. Something simple, yet sweet. Perfect for valentine's day. :-)

Guest Week Day Six: Nautical Mani by Katy from Nailed It

Check out this nautical-themed mani from Katy! I loooove it!!

Hi everyone! For those of you who may not recognize my name or my blog, I'm Katy, and my blog is called Nailed It. Totally original name, I know.

While Emily is enjoying the majesty of the seas, tossing and tumbling around on a rocky cruise line, lots of us are stuck tromping through feet of snow, drizzling rain and depressing sleet. Thankfully, nails provide the perfect escape from the dreary times this time of year has to offer. Wearing a spring dress or a cute jumper isn't really an option right now, but adorning nails with fantasies of better times is a cinch.

My attempt to drown the dullness also honors Emily's excursion. These are my super cute sailor nails.

Red Solo Cup!

Happy FRIDAY! I haven't posted in what feels like an eternity! Work and school has caught up with me and I haven't really had the time to indulge in polish! :'( That all changes this weekend- I have an EPIC weekend ahead. Some of you may recognize the title of my blog post and what it refers to; I'm talking about the Toby Keith song RED SOLO CUP !! I'm seeing Toby in concert tonight so I had to attempt some red solo cups on my nails. This manicure also subsequently celebrates Wear Red Day which promotes awareness of heart disease. Check it out.

OPI Swimsuit...Nailed It! + Sinful Colors Frenzy

This layering combo is to die for :)

OPI Swimsuit...Nailed It + Sinful Colors Frenzy

Seche Vite Base Coat
2 coats OPI Swimsuit... Nailed It!
1 coat Sinful Colors Frenzy
Seche Vite Top Coat

I can only imagine how dreadful this polish is gonna be to get off. I've heard bad things about this blue + staining the nail.. plus I added a glitter.. merh, bad idea, but the glitter has gorgeous blue, purple + silver sparkles that complimented Swimsuit... Nailed It! perfectly.

My First Sinful Colors

Hey all! :-) My mom picked me up two Sinful Colors today, nice surprise to come home to, as they are my first taste of the brand! :-) She got me Aqua and Glass Pink, two really different colors. My mom always keeps her eye out for polishes that are really unique; something that I don't already have in my collection.

Aqua + Glass Pink

L->R Aqua, 2 coats of Glass Pink, Aqua with Glass Pink over it

same as above

I couldn't help but top my current mani with this gorgeous glassy sparkle!! The top pic shows White Cap (previous mani) on my thumb + ring fingers. The other three have glass pink over yesterday's mani, which is shown in the bottom pic.

I like what I see of Sinful Colors so far! And at $1.99, how can you beat it?
