paisley print + some food porn from the big e

Hiiii guys! Happy Monday! Hope you all had a most excellent weekend. I certainly did. I worked all of Saturday which is actually okay because my hours keep getting cut and I need the money. I took Sunday off so I could hit up the Big E. For those of you who don't know what the Big E is, you are missing out. It's this pretty big New England fair that happens every September during the last two weeks of the month. It's the same every year and that's why I like it. It's one thing in my life that I know won't change. The food, the music, the atmosphere... I just love it all.

Before I post some nailz I must share some food porn from the Big E. Plus a few more..

My two best friends and I stage-side: we had front row seats to see Rodney Atkins!

The giant pumpkins! A favorite of mine EVERY year.

Something new this year: fried. lasagna. Can you say heaven?

An annual favorite: baked taters from the Maine building

And these...? --->

Yup. Fried samoas.

Oh, how I love the Big E.  I genuinely try to eat pretty healthily and work out regularly but these two weeks... nope. No diet, no exercise regimen. I just enjoy myself. And it's worth it.

As far as manicures go... this is what I wore to the Big E yesterday:

This is two coats of Zoya Charla stamped with Sonia Kashuk Smoke & Mirrors. The stamping plate is from bundle monster's third collection- I forget the exact plate number. It's gorgeous, and comes out so well! I absolutely love the way a silver foil looks stamped over shades like Charla- think OPI Catch Me In Your Net, etc. My fave.

What do you think?

An "I'm super duper antsy for my vacation" manicure: Go With The Flow-er!

I leave for my super awesome road trip in FOUR DAYS. Yup, four days. Ten days of freedom, the open road, and hundreds of miles between myself and all of the stresses of home. YIPEE!!!!! I am so freaking excited, I feel like a little kid on Christmas Eve.

As far as going on vacation goes, I am a horrible packer. Horrible. I leave on Friday around 1am and I work today, tomorrow, Wednesday AND Thursday until 8pm... and I still haven't packed. Still haven't even touched the massive piles of laundry I have to do in order to pack. Gah. I suck. Instead of packing right now like I should be, I'm sitting here writing. Writing... dragging....the blog post... so I don't... have to... pack. Ok. Let's get on to the manicure so I can at least be a little bit productive before work.

Isn't this precious? I am developing a strong love of PicStitch!!

Colors Used: Sephora by OPI Go With The Flow-er, Sonia Kashuk Smoke and Mirrors for stamping

The stamping came out really light, but this polish is an excellent one for stamping. When I get back from vacation, I'm determined to find more polishes that are great for stamping. If you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them. Aside from that, I'm in love with this $OPI. It took four coats to build up and there's still some vnl but you can't really tell with the stamping (translation: vnl = visible nail line, when the polish isn't opaque enough to fully hide your natural nails).

What do you think? Are you a fan? My hands just feel so girly with this on, I love it.

PS- if you don't already, follow me on Instagram! My username is c4rped1em and I post all of my manicures on there. :)

Vacation Series: OPI Catch Me In Your Net (stamped)

Hi ladies! We are nearing my vacation, I am soooo excited! I got inspired to do a really cute manicure last night. It was semi-inspired by the look that Jacki from Adventures In Acetone did on her blog here. Jacki featured "mermaid tail nails," and I decided to do a spin-off of her manicure. For mine, I used OPI Catch Me In Your Net and a polish very similar to it from Wet N Wild's new drugstore line called Spoiled, Deeper Dive. The two are very similar and work very well together. Although without stamping the manicure looked beautiful, I wanted to add one more touch to spice it up a little bit. Check it out!

Zoya Jem + Giveaway Reminder

I can't believe it's almost Christmas! Time is flying by. I have my last final exam of the semester tomorrow- so happy to see this semester come to a close!! I have a month break, so hopefully I can catch up on blogging and catch up with all of you lovely ladies. Squeezing in a post here and there is hard enough, nevermind trying to comment and keep up with all of the awesomeness that you are all doing!

Sonia Kashuk Smoke and Mirrors: Sparkle-fied!

Hey guys. I got a bunch of new polishes today. Of course, the ones I'm featuring aren't ones I bought today, but they are still gorgeous nonetheless. One of my nail polish friends sent me Sonia Kashuk's Smoke & Mirrors last week. I really wanted it, but hadn't gotten around to purchasing it yet. Charlotte was nice enough to send it to me! <3 I also picked up a few Pumpkin Polishes this weekend, one that I thought would pair perfectly with this silver foil.
