Sunflower Nails

Hi everyone! Happy Sunday!! Yesterday I stumbled upon a sunflower tutorial on Kayla Shevonne's blog, and I knew I had to try it out. Of course, my nails turned out looking nothing like hers but it's definitely better than I expected. I am seriously the least artistic person I know. But, as I've learned with tennis & other things I love, practice seriously helps! I figured I might as well try some nail art so I can get better at it. What better to start with than sunflowers!?

the centers of the flowers look goopy... probably used too much polish. Oops!

l->r OPI Swimsuit...Nailed It!, OPI Alpine Snow, Sally Hansen Sunflowers, OPI My Private Jet, Sally Hansen Pumpkin Spice

Some nail wheel designs I tried out last night.

What I Used:
2 coats of OPI Nail Envy (because this blue STAINS badly)
1 coat OPI Swimsuit...Nailed It!
OPI Alpine Snow underneath the yellow
Sally Hansen Sunflowers
OPI My Private Jet for the center of the flowers
Sally Hansen Pumpkin Spice to make the centers look a little better

Bottom Line:
I love this blue and yellow together; I'm definitely more impressed than I thought I would be with my miniscule nail art skills. I learned a lot that I can try next time I do this manicure. Go check out Kayla's tutorial if you want to try this look!!
