Vacation Series: Sand & Stilettos in the Caribbean

Welcome to day two of my Vacation Series! I'm featuring a week's worth of polishes that are beachy, summery, and lots of fun to prepare for my week-long cruise that departs on Saturday! I am so excited and want to share my excitement with you. Today, I decided to try two polishes I haven't used before. This manicure came out so great. Here it is!

Pink Wednesday: Funky Fingers and OPI Mix

I haven't done a Pink Wednesday in a while so I figured I'd try something different! I Lily Love You by OPI is an amazing polish. I matched it to a Funky Fingers polish called Manic Flamingo and found myself a great pair!

OPI It's My Year

Sooo I'm already painting my next manicure but I really wanted to show you last night's! It's awesome- I just didn't get a chance to post it yet, I've been so busy today! I picked up OPI's new It's My Year polish from the brand new Miss Universe 2011 line. I was so excited to find this polish in Newport because it was the one from the line I really wanted. While in Newport I got some Funky Fingers, which is on my accent finger.

My only problem with this polish is that it photographs horribly. I love the formula and the application is a dream. The color is most close to the first picture I posted. Love it overall. The Funky Fingers glitter on my accent finger is Sand & Stilettos. I also put a coat of Nubar 2010 over it to even out the glitter before I put on my SV top coat. :-)

Sponge Mani for PAA

Hiii ladies! Hope you all had a lovely weekend, I sure did! Here are a few pics from my weekend.

I'm a huge tennis fan.. I don't know if any of you are, but I saw Andre Agassi play yesterday at the Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport. He just got inducted into the Hall of Fame on Saturday. Super exciting to have front row seats to such a great match.

I couldn't help but take a picture of my hand with my smiley face stamp from the Hall of Fame <3

Gelato/Sorbet mix.. sooo good

The beaches in Rhode Island are so beautiful.

Now, on to today's manicure! The ladies of the awesome Facebook group Polish-aholics Anonymous feature different themed manicure challenges every Monday, and this week it's sponging, which I've never done. Now, some of the girls on there are amazing when it comes to nail art, but all I had to use tonight was a kitchen sponge so I did what I could. I think it looks super abstract and artsy, which I love!

What I used:
1 coat OPI natural nail base coat
2 coats OPI Cozu-melted In The Sun
1 sponged coat Nicole by OPI No Limits (which dries matte)
1 sponged coat Funky Fingers Golden Coast
2 coats Seche Vite top coat
