Guest Week Day Six: Nautical Mani by Katy from Nailed It

Check out this nautical-themed mani from Katy! I loooove it!!

Hi everyone! For those of you who may not recognize my name or my blog, I'm Katy, and my blog is called Nailed It. Totally original name, I know.

While Emily is enjoying the majesty of the seas, tossing and tumbling around on a rocky cruise line, lots of us are stuck tromping through feet of snow, drizzling rain and depressing sleet. Thankfully, nails provide the perfect escape from the dreary times this time of year has to offer. Wearing a spring dress or a cute jumper isn't really an option right now, but adorning nails with fantasies of better times is a cinch.

My attempt to drown the dullness also honors Emily's excursion. These are my super cute sailor nails.

Guest Week Day One: Olivia featuring Wet n' Wild: Blue Moon & Essie: Shine of the Times

I'm so excited to introduce my first guest blogger! Olivia is one of my favorite bloggers. I discovered her blog when I first started blogging in the summer and hers inspired me to keep blogging even though I didn't have many followers. I'm so glad she agreed to write a guest post for me!

First of all, a big thanks to Emily for choosing me to be a guest blogger! I was so surprised she chose me since I suck so much at blogging on my own blog. ;)

I wanted to pick a really awesome polish, or polish combo. It took me forever to come up with something that was even halfway decent. I think I was trying too hard. I had like a million untried polishes sitting out on my desk, which included all the Essie Luxe Effects polishes. And those are all awesome, by the way. Shine of the Times is my favorite of the bunch. You can layer it over pretty much anything and it is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I also recently purchased Wet n Wild Blue Moon, which is a deep navy blue with a turquoise colored shimmer. I just happened to experiment with these two polishes and came up with one of my favorite combos of all time! Take a look!

Vacation Series: OPI Catch Me In Your Net (stamped)

Hi ladies! We are nearing my vacation, I am soooo excited! I got inspired to do a really cute manicure last night. It was semi-inspired by the look that Jacki from Adventures In Acetone did on her blog here. Jacki featured "mermaid tail nails," and I decided to do a spin-off of her manicure. For mine, I used OPI Catch Me In Your Net and a polish very similar to it from Wet N Wild's new drugstore line called Spoiled, Deeper Dive. The two are very similar and work very well together. Although without stamping the manicure looked beautiful, I wanted to add one more touch to spice it up a little bit. Check it out!

Coming Soon: 4th of July mani!

Hi ladies! :) I wanted to do this yesterday but I'm working a 10 hour shift today and didn't want to chip a nail so I'm gonna do it tonight.. my patriotic manicure!! I'm pretty simple when it comes to nail art so we'll see what I come up with, nothing too crazy.

I'm actually at work on break now, my mom came to visit and what does she bring? Two cute little polishes she picked up at the grocery store to brighten my day.. both Wet & Wild. I haven't used Wet & Wild cosmetics (let alone nail polish) in AGES, probably ten years or something. They're pretty colors. Wet & Wild's Gray's Anatomy & Teal or No Teal. :)) Expect a blog post in 7 hours or so!
