Of course, I bought some China Glaze polishes from their Holiday 2011 collection a few weeks ago. What better way to ring in this snowy season than with a few of those?? Check these puppies out!

Snowy Skittle Manicure!
WHOA, holy absence from posting! I am SO sorry about my lack of updates. We had a pretty bad storm up here (I live in Massachusetts) and power was knocked out for a bit! Of course, I could have still painted my nails.. but I just had NO motivation or will! Power is back now at my house luckily, but other communities are still 100% without power and will be for days. We got eight inches of snow in my town, the day before Halloween. Insane. It's way too early for winter, if you ask me.

Vacation Mani #1: CQ Slate Mix-Up
Hey girls! I am up in New York on a mini vacation with my mom. It's really nice to get away, let me tell you! We did a ton of shopping yesterday, when I found this pretty color. We don't have the brand CQ in drug stores back home, or at least I've never noticed them. One of my favorite bloggers, Olivia, has blogged about this brand before.I picked up Slate and Idyllic. Slate is a dark teal blue, with somewhat of a green hue. Idyllic is a red/purple duochrome. These colors are perfect for fall.

On my thumb and ring fingers is Sally Hansen Crackle Overcoat in Fractured Foil. Topping the other three is Claire's Glitter Top Coat. I also put a coat of Gelous over the mani (I was gonna use it as my top coat because my Seche is almost out, but I just need that Seche on top of it).

check out this cool ring I got at Banana Republic. I got some great deals there today (even got a polish!)

This is what I go through when I'm trying to pick out a polish to wear. All of my nail wheels are like this- no real organization. The top is a preview of the Deborah Lippmann's I won from Kayla Shevonne's giveaway. Then there is my two CQ polishes, here Slate is topped with Glitter In The Air. I wanted to see how NFU OH 61 would look underneath the Claire's Glitter Top Coat.. def. a future mani in the workings here!
Anyway, I hope you all have a happy Monday! I don't know what we're gonna do. It's just nice to be away and relaxing, you know? :))

OPI Teal The Cows Come Home + Sally Hansen Crackle Overcoat
Happy Friday! I work weekends so it doesn't matter to me but I'm sure you all are excited for the weekend! I've had a really (mentally) long few days with a lot of decisions being thrown my way. I'm trying to make the best out of it, though.
Last night I got together with my old best friend to do our nails. Growing up I was always so jealous of her because she has naturally long, quick growing, strong nails. It's safe to say we both share a passion for polish. I decided to try out my fairly new bottle of OPI Teal The Cows Come Home paired with my friend's Sally Hansen Antiqued Gold. This polish changed my opinion on crackle- I love this brand so much more than the black OPI shatter I have!

These pics were taken in direct sunlight. :-)

I'll leave you all with this gorgeous pic :) When I went in my backyard to photograph my mani, I found this lone sunflower in my garden- it's the only one of the seeds I planted to grow so far. Sooo gorgeous. Made my day.
